The KnightCam G400 bi camera is equipped with a high-performance backlit image sensor, which is specially designed with an efficient cooling module to address the inherent thermal noise of the sensor so that the operating temperature of the camera sensor is up to 40 degrees lower than the ambient temperature. In view of low temperature fog formation, the anti-fog structure is designed to ensure that the sensor surface will not fog at low temperature. This unique technology greatly reduces the image noise and ensures the acquisition of image quality.

The temperature of the camera sensor can be controlled by software to ensure the highest possible photoelectric conversion quantum efficiency with little video or image noise. The quantum efficiency of high-performance image sensors will also be greatly reduced when the temperature is particularly low, so temperature control is quite important. Sensor control and video data transmission are interlinked with the USB3.0 Fast Transfer Protocol for quick preview.

The KnightCam G400 bi cooled  sCMOS scientific class camera comes with advanced image processing software to control the camera and process captured images. The camera supports trigger operation mode: software trigger, support a trigger to capture a single or multiple pictures; Supports long exposure mode, up to 1 hour.
